This website began its life in 2011, when it was first launched using the Joomla language then and has undergone many changes like my career in Art. I had taken on the name Art Noor by adding the word Art to my name Noor- which means light in Arabic because it best describes my quest – Enlightenment.
I had many thoughts when I started to redesign this site during the coronavirus lockdown. For starters, I had two decade-long experience of my art career behind me. Also, one grows both intellectually and spiritually. How you approach and deal with life is different when you are sixty and not sixteen. Your world vision changes and undergoes transformation and you move from a personal point of view to a perspective point of view. And that changes everything, including your needs and goals that are derived from those. With that in view, the intensity of seclusion made me zero in on three goals that I want to focus on.
Like everything else in life, it’s easier said than done. It has taken me forty months to have reached the current stage. It looks simple as though it could have been done in 3 weeks. Yes, the final redesign did take that much time, but the real work went into the area that you can’t see, as yet- inside my head.
1 Build an inspired TRIBE of Thinkers, Artists, and Collectors who help one another via a Comprehensive Art Portal, and grow with it.
2- Create Revenue Streams for the TRIBE of this ‘Collective” by selling artworks and related services both online and offline.
3. Re-organize and Optimize my Art Practice into manageable sections for better focus and implementation of ideas
What is NOT Art? When you are an authentic artist, there is little that you will do which is not art. Because you are practicing being an artist. Your medium can change, canvases can change but your essence translates into everything you touch or interact with.
You might make some visible art or not, whether you are accepted as the artist or not, you are an artist if you think you are. It may reflect in the way you walk, talk, or wear your clothes or just as you look at things.
If you think you are, then you are. You belong to our tribe. Join us here
